Dr Saleha Akter, winner of the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Degree by Research Thesis!

Our very own lovely, humble Dr Saleha Akter was selected by the Dean, UQ Graduate School, as a recipient of the 2020 Deans Award for Outstanding Higher Degree by Research Theses.

Fewer than 10% of PhD and MPhil graduates are recognised this way each year.

Examiners nominated Saleha for this award as they considered her thesis to be a substantial contribution to the field of research. UQ has certainly benefited from her contribution to its research profile!
