Centre PhD candidates offer a volunteer hand and learn more about Native Oz Bushfoods

Indigenous Enterprise Partners Tracey and Doug Goebel from Native Oz Bushfoods recently welcomed two of our PhD candidates, Nolana Lynch and Mokaddes Ahmed Dipu (Dipu), and Engagement Coordinator Sophie Ader to their property out at Ropeley.

Tracey and Doug gave their time to Nolana and Dipu – both of whom are looking at indigenous business models from different perspectives. Nolana and Dipu got to learn about all the different business elements that Native Oz Bushfoods offers (including tours, long table evening dinners, delicious jams, syrups and products and more), and also learn of some of the practical realities challenging Indigenous businesses like Tracey and Doug’s.

In return, Nolana, Dipu and Sophie got their hands dirty (literally) helping with the propagation of more saltbush.

It was a wonderful day – good friends, good learning and good conversation!
